Aperture ® (CAFM) Computer-Aided Facilities Management Software (Space & Personnel) – Basic Training

Course Number:  AKA-TAPBASIC01

Duration:  4-Days, 8 AM – 5 PM

Cost:  $ 2,400 – TOTAL GROUP PRICE – Group Training Class up to 6 Students (No discount provided for less than 6-students.  Average Price per student, based on max class size of 6-students is: $400.)

Overview:  Hands-On Basic Overview of Aperture drawing system and built-in database.  Students learn how to setup an Aperture Project and import their facility CAD floor plans, setup layers, layer-sets, drawing styles.  Other topics include: Basic BOMA Polylining, Creating Drawing Stylizers, Using Drawing Symbols (template symbols library), Database setup and creating of “Region” records and attaching data to the CAD floor plans, creating navigational links and drawing views.  Students will learn how to maintain their existing Aperture project data and be able to make simple space-planning “reconfigurations” and basic Moves/Adds/Changes of offices, cubicles, personnel.

Pre-Requisite:  Microsoft Windows ® experience.  Ability to cut/copy/paste objects within a document or drawing.  Ideally, student has some background in CAD.


Aperture CAFM Software – Advanced Training

Course Number:  AKA-TAPADVANCE01

Duration:  3-Days, 8 AM – 5 PM

Cost:  $ 1,800 – TOTAL GROUP PRICE – Group Training Class up to 6 Students.  ($300/student, with minimum charge of $1,800 per class, regardless of class size.)

Overview:  Hands-On Advanced Aperture training.  Students will learn to design and modify advanced database elements, including “LookUps”, Dynamic Pick-lists, complex calculations, and linking Aperture data to external enterprise database such as SQL Server.  Students will learn to use Forms, Advanced Stylizer expressions, dynamic drawing legends, exporting/importing of data, advanced database query of data, multiple/mass update of data, data consistency & validation, advanced report development.  In addition, students will learn to perform advanced “what-if” scenarios and create project clones, check-out/check-in drawings.

Aperture ® CAFM Software – Server, VIEW, and SmartPictures Server ©

Course Number:  AKA-TAPSVRSP01

Duration:  4-Days, 8 AM – 5 PM

Cost:  $ 2,400 – TOTAL GROUP PRICE – Group Training Class up to 6 Students.  ($400/student, with minimum charge of $2,400 per class, regardless of class size.)

Overview:  Hands-On training where students will learn basic web-based application software principles and will be taught basic visual basic and classic ASP coding in order that they may understand the underlying framework of the Aperture visual web solution software.  Students will learn how to install Aperture Server ®, Aperture Visual Web Solution ® or SmartPictures Server © and how to setup and configure the software.  Students will learn how these web interface products connect to their existing Aperture Project database and students will learn how to customize the web pages/screens.  Emphasis will be provided on web-based Move Management and Service Requests.  Students will learn how to provide web-based Aperture drawings to their clients or user-audience, and provide dynamic web pick-lists.  Students will be provided several template HTML and classic ASP web pages already designed to be used with Aperture visual web solutions.  Students will learn to setup in SQL Server an automatic weekly refresh of Personnel data between Aperture project and corporate HR database.
